Bespoke engineering · Embedded teams

Bespoke software,
built alongside your team.

Pocket Foundry is a small practice of senior engineers who embed with your team to ship serious work — and leave your codebase better than we found it.

Services

Three ways we work with teams.

  • 01

    Embedded augmentation

Senior engineers who join your team for a fixed window — sit in your standups, ship in your repo, and pair with the people you already trust.

  • 02

    Bespoke builds

Greenfield systems where you need someone who has done it before. Designed, built, and handed off with the documentation your team will actually use.

  • 03

    Technical advisory

Architecture reviews, hiring help, and second-opinion engagements when the call is hard and the cost of the wrong answer is high.

Process

A short, deliberate engagement.

We measure ourselves on whether your team is faster after we leave — not on billable hours.

  1. 01 Discover

A week of scoping. We read the code, talk to the team, and write down what we think is actually going on — including the awkward parts.

  2. 02 Embed

We integrate with your tooling, your standups, and your review process. No parallel track. No silo. Your engineers stay in the loop.

  3. 03 Ship

Weekly cadence, real changes in production. We measure progress in merged PRs and observable outcomes, not slide decks.

  4. 04 Hand-off

Documentation written for the engineer who has to maintain it. A walkthrough recording. Open invitation to call us when something breaks.

About

About the foundry.

Pocket Foundry is small on purpose. No pyramid, no juniors learning on your dollar — just principal-level engineers writing code, reviewing it, and owning the work end to end.

We embed rather than parachute. The best consulting we have ever done has been the kind that left a team genuinely better off — with infrastructure they understand, patterns they can extend, and a few new instincts borrowed from outside their walls.

We work in fixed windows, with clear scope, in your tools and your repo. When we leave, the most important thing we hand over is your team's confidence in what we built together.
